Walpole Front House is a large, light-filled coastal home in Margate, designed for groups who want to spend time together properly—whether that’s a family gathering, a weekend with friends, or something worth celebrating.

There’s a natural flow to the space that just works. Big social areas for meals, drinks and long conversations, balanced with enough room to spread out when you need a bit of quiet. Even with a full house, it feels relaxed rather than busy.

With five bedrooms (6 if you count the office/games/cot room) and two bathrooms, plus a separate toilet, across the first and second floor, the layout gives you flexibility. The ground floor is all open plan without been just one big space. The large double reception room connects with the dinning room that opens into the large galley kitchen. From the French doors in the dinning room you can access the patio then garden. Couples, singles, and families can all find a setup that suits them, without it feeling like anyone’s compromising. Some can be right in the heart of things, while others have a bit more separation—ideal for different routines, early nights or slower mornings.

Outside, there’s a secure garden ideal for children and dogs plus a generous patio; perfect for a slow morning coffee, an afternoon in the sun, or a relaxed evening with food and drinks. It’s an easy extension of the house, especially after a day at the beach.

And the location keeps everything simple. Eclectic Northdown Road is on the doorstep. The sandy shore, rock pools and lido are just a short, step free walk away, so you can come and go as you please. Head one way for quieter coastal walks and open space, or the other for Margate Old Town—cafés, restaurants, galleries and a bit more energy when you want it.
